埃及中国事务研究员和自由文学翻译家。毕业于埃及艾因夏姆斯大学语言学院中文系，专业为中国文学。在大学二年级翻译了第一篇短篇小说《骆驼祥子》，从而开始了翻译道路。后来把中国许多作家的作品翻译成阿拉伯语，发表于埃及与其他国家的阿拉伯语杂志和报纸上。比如冰心、张爱玲、贾平凹、三毛、阿城、王蒙、六六、魏微、方方、余光中等。翻译作品包括：鲁迅的《狂人日记》(短篇小说选集)与毕飞宇的《推拿》(长篇小说)等。2017年5月用阿拉伯语翻译的《推拿》获得了第3届文学新闻报纸最高的翻译奖。翻译的鲁迅短篇小说选集也即将由北京师范大学出版社出版。目前正在翻译王蒙先生的《这边风景》。

Mira Ahmed, a graduate of Chinese literature from Faculty of linguistics, Ain Shams University, and now a researcher of Chinese affairs and freelance literary translator from Egypt. She still remember her first translation work of a short story as a sophomore, Lao She’s Rickshaw Boy, which marks the start of my translation career. In her case, literary ones appeals to her most though she had engaged in various translation texts after graduation.Her translation works in Arabic have introduced writers, including Bing Xin, Eileen Chang, Jia Pingwa, Sanmao, Ah Cheng, Wang Meng, Liu Liu, Wei Wei, Fang Fang and Yu Kwang-chung, to magazines and newspapers in Egypt and other countries. For instance, she have translated LuXun’s A Madman’s Diary(selected short stories) and Blind Massage(full-length novel) from Bi Feiyu. In particular, the latter one has won her top translator prize of the 3rd Literary Newspaper Award in May of 2017. Another good news is that her translation of Lu Xun’s selected short stories will be printed by Beijing Normal University Publishing Group. Furthermore, her translation of Wang Meng’s View is in progress..
