刘醒龙，中国作家协会全委会委员，中国作家协会小说委员会副主任，华中师范大学刘醒龙当代文学研究中心名誉主任，湖北省文联主席、《芳草》文学杂志主编。生于古城黄州。代表作有中篇小说《凤凰琴》《分享艰难》等。出版有长篇小说《威风凛凛》《一棵树的爱情史》《痛失》《黄冈秘卷》，长篇散文《一滴水有多深》《上上长江》和长诗《用胸膛行走的高原》及散文集、中短篇小说集等六十余种。长篇小说《蟠虺》获《人民文学》年度长篇小说奖。散文《抱着父亲回故乡》获第七届老舍散文奖、中篇小说《挑担茶叶上北京》获第一届鲁迅文学奖、长篇小说《天行者》获第八届茅盾文学奖。

Liu Xinglong, born in Huangzhou (a name in imperial China, now Huangzhou District in Huanggang City, Hubei province), Liu Xinglong is a member of National Committee and  associate director of Novel Committee at China Writers Association. In addition to honorary director of Liu Xinglong Contemporary Literature Research Center at Central China Normal University, he also serves as the president of Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles(HFLAC) and chief editor of literary magazine Fangcao. Novellas including Fenghuangqin and Sharing hardship are his representative works. Moreover, his publications total more than 60, including full-length novels such as Weifenglinlin, Romance of a tree, Lose and The secret of Huanggang, long prose A Drop of Water and A pilgrimage to Yangtze River, a long poem named Walk with chest out on the plateau along with prose collections and novelette collections. To be noted, his full-length novel Pan Hui received Annual Novel Award by People’s Literature. Besides, he won the 7  Lao She Prose Award for Take my father back to hometown, the 1   Lu Xun Literary Prize for novella Go to Beijing with a load of tea together with 8  Mao Dun Literature Prize for full-length novel Skywalker.
