  Lu Cairong is a senior journalist and Vice President of China International Publishing Group. Enjoying the State Council Special Allowance, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. Lu graduated with a BA in journalism from Fudan University in 1984, and obtained his MA in international politics through an in-work graduate program at the School of the CPC Central Committee in 2008. From August 1984 to March 2011 he worked at Guangming Daily, serving successively as deputy director of the economics news department, director of the science and technology news department, director of the news and report planning department, and member of the newspaper’s editorial board.
