印度尼西亚是两个大陆之间的群岛国家，即亚洲大陆和澳洲大陆，也处于两个大洋之间，即印度洋和太平洋。 印度尼西亚的名字即为“在群岛之中”，来自拉丁语，即Indio（棕色皮肤种族）nesos（岛屿）sia（亚洲），它们被合并为一个名称。

印度尼西亚的文明不像中国和印度那么长，但印尼的语言非常多样化。印尼苏门答腊岛的文化和语言比爪哇岛和巴厘岛更古老，也是用爪哇文字写成的文字。除文学外，印尼在爪哇岛、苏门答腊和加里曼丹还建有的几座世界闻名的寺庙。

马来语也是在苏门答腊岛形成的，它混合了印度语、汉语和阿拉伯语语言，具有较丰富的词汇量。印度尼西亚独立时，20名国家领导人决定马来语和印尼语成为国家的官方语言和通用语言，印尼语采用的是拉丁字母。

印度尼西亚民族以共和国体系中组织国家及其人民，基于公平公正的教育计划，有助于政治、经济、社会事务、宗教和文化艺术等各领域的发展。在争取民族独立的斗争中，我们在社会各个领域涌现了许多专家。印度尼西亚人民与荷兰殖民时代相比大为不同。

自七世纪以来，印尼与包括中国、印度、印度支那在内的许多国家建立了关系，十五世纪后与欧洲国家也建立了关系。自万隆亚非会议召开以来，印度尼西亚一个必须实现的理想即是建立一个自由和平的新世界。

Indonesia is an archipelago between two continents, namely Asian continent and Australasia, and is also situated between two oceans, namely Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. The name of Indonesia is ‘among the islands’, which comes from Latin, namely Indio (race of the brown skin), nesos (islands) sia (Asia), they are combined into one name.

The Indonesian civilization is not as long as Chinese or Indian, but the Indonesian language is varied. The civilization and language of Sumatra is older than that of Java and Bali, but it is also written in Java language; apart from literature, Indonesia built several world-famous temples in Java island, Sumatra and Kalimantan.

The Malay language was also formed in Sumatra island. It combines Indian, Chinese and Arabic language and has a relatively rich vocabulary. When the Indonesia got independent, 20 national leaders decided that Malay language/Indonesian language be the official language and common language. Indonesian language uses Latin alphabet.

The Indonesians organize the nation and its people by republic system and are based on just and fair education plan, which is conducive to the developments in various fields such as politics, economics, social affairs, religion and culture & art. In the struggle for the national independence, many experts emerged in every social field. The Indonesian people have been vastly different from the people in the colonial era by the Dutch.

Since the 7   Century, Indonesia established relations with many countries including China, India, Indo-China. From 15  Century, Indonesia also established relations with European countries. Since the convention of the Bandung Asia-Africa Conference, a must-achieve ideal for Indonesia is to build a free and peaceful new world.
